Milan confident of new Donnarumma deal

AC Milan are still confident that they will be able to reach an agreement with Gianluigi Donnarumma over a new one before the current one runs out in a few months, according to Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, despite there being no movement on that front as of yet.

Donnarumma is a product of Milan s youth setup, which he joined in 2013. He rose quickly through the ranks and earned a place in the first-team squad in 2015, despite being only 16 years old at the time. Now, at the age of 22, he s one of the world s most exciting young goalkeepers which, together with his contract situation, is attracting attention from top clubs around Europe. The likes of Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United and Chelsea have all been credited with interest in his services recently.

Milan have only three months to persuade Donnarumma to recommit his future to the club, and given that the young shot-stopper is represented by Mino Raiola, they will surely need to put very lucrative terms on the table. However, talks are ongoing and it seems there is still belief at San Siro that Donnarumma will be at the club for years to come.
